Soccer Recap: Marshall Comes Up Short

Marshall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Whitehouse Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-0 back in January.

Marshall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Whitehouse, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-1 record this season.

Marshall and Whitehouse could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Marshall will take on Nacogdoches at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 541 places (617 vs. 76). Similarly, Whitehouse (ranked 87th) will meet Jacksonville (ranked 26th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
