Basketball Recap: Delta Takes a Loss

On Tuesday, the Delta Saints had to suffer through a 93-24 loss at the hands of the El Camino Eagles. The Saints have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Delta still got an impressive performance from Lucas Keller, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Royce Cornelson, who posted six points.

El Camino's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Trey Turner led the charge by putting up 16 points. Another player making a difference was Tolu Olotu, who had 14 points.

Delta's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for El Camino, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-4.

Delta will head out to challenge Elite at 7:30 p.m. on December 17th. As for El Camino, they will be taking part in a tournament against Marysville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Marysville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
