Basketball Recap: Montrose Has No Trouble Against Sheldon

Montrose hadn't done well against Sheldon recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Montrose Blue Jays were the clear victor by a 51-31 margin over the Sheldon Panthers. This was payback for the Blue Jays, who suffered a 53-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The win made it two in a row for Montrose and bumps their season record up to 7-12. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 20.5 points. As for Sheldon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montrose will welcome Sherwood at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sheldon, they will face off against Northeast Vernon County at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
