Recap: Owings Mills Golden Eagles vs. Lansdowne Vikings
The Owings Mills Golden Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 73-47 margin over Lansdowne. The result was nothing new for Owings Mills, who have now won three matches by 26 points or more so far this season.
Marcus Nelson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 32 points and ten rebounds. The contest was his fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Francois Bangoura, who scored 12 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Owings Mills now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lansdowne, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Parkville the next time they take the court. Owings Mills will host Parkville at 5:30 p.m. on January 3, 2024, while Lansdowne will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
