Baseball Recap: Vandercook Lake Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Vandercook Lake had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They came up short against the Hillsdale Hornets on Friday, falling 13-3. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 12 in a row.

Vandercook Lake saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was David Arbogast, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

The win got Hillsdale back to even at 1-1.

Vandercook Lake and Hillsdale will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Jayhawks will take on rival Michigan Center at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Hillsdale is set to challenge their familiar foe Onsted at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
