Softball Recap: Willis Find Success

Willis proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Lake Ridge Eagles 4-2. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildkats also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2017.

Abba Koenig was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Willis now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lake Ridge, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Willis will challenge Caney Creek at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lake Ridge, they will take on Ingleside in a tournament on Saturday.
