Basketball Recap: Lab University Christian Academy Regional Comes Up Short at Home Against Piedmont Community Charter

Lab University Christian Academy Regional unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots on Wednesday. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it four in a row.

Lab University Christian Academy Regional lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Moses Springer, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 16 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Jazz Hector was another key player, putting up ten points and five assists.

Eli Grant had an outrageously good game for Piedmont Community Charter as he dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 boards. Those 13 rebounds gave Grant a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Johnathan Austin, who posted 11 points and three steals.

Piedmont Community Charter now has a winning record of 2-1.

Lab University Christian Academy Regional wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 93-65 win against Oak City Prep on the 13th. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they have also already played their next contest, a 59-27 victory against Highland Tech on the 14th.
