Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers vs. Frisco Raccoons

The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers are taking a road trip to square off against the Frisco Raccoons at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Lebanon Trail is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since April 12, 2024 two weeks ago. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over Memorial. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Trail Blazers as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Frisco waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 8-4.

Bryce Nickson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Jorge Villareal, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Owen Watson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

Frisco's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Lebanon Trail, their record is now 2-11.

Lebanon Trail came up short against Frisco when the teams last played back in March of 2023, falling 6-3. Can Lebanon Trail avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
