            Softball Recap: Weaver Bearcats vs. Saks Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Weaver). They walked away with  a   14-11  win over the Saks Wildcats  on Tuesday. The  victory was a breath of fresh air for the Bearcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

 Reyleigh Partner made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out six batters over  seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and seven unearned) runs off   12  hits (and only one walk). Those  six  strikeouts gave  her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI. That  double marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Maddie Stanford, who  scored two  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  RBI (two). Another player making a difference was  Kaelyn Free, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Weaver's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Saks,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Weaver Bearcats  challenge  Cleburne County Tigers at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. As for Saks, they will look to defend their home field  on March 20th against Randolph County  at 4:30  p.m.
