Basketball Game Preview: Millsap Bulldogs vs. Eastland Mavericks

The Millsap Bulldogs will take on the Eastland Mavericks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Millsap didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Breckenridge, but they still walked away with a 31-27 victory.

Millsap's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Cori Ground, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten boards, and Kaleigh Wooldridge, who posted two points and seven steals. Wooldridge is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 21 games she's played.

Meanwhile, Eastland came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Lions 56-30.

Eastland's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-14. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Millsap, their victory bumped their record up to 7-23.
