Basketball Recap: Aberdeen Central Comes Up Short

Aberdeen Central lost against Washington back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles took a 50-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Washington Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Warriors are ranked tenth).

Aberdeen Central is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5. As for Washington, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

Aberdeen Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Harrisburg at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. Washington has already played their next game (against Brookings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
