Soccer Recap: Volunteer Comes Up Short

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Volunteer was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Cherokee Chiefs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Volunteer of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Volunteer's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Cherokee, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Coincidentally, Volunteer and Cherokee will both be playing Grainger the next time they take the pitch. The Chiefs will host the Grizzlies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Falcons will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
