Football Recap: Greenfield Takes a Loss

Greenfield fell victim to Amherst-Pelham Regional and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 41-0 defeat at the hands of the Hurricanes.

Amherst-Pelham Regional's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Klaes led the charge by rushing for 165 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Another big playmaker for the Hurricanes was Dane Coy, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Greenfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greenfield is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will square off against Frontier Regional at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Amherst-Pelham Regional, they will square off against Barnstable at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
