Softball Recap: R.A. Long Comes Up Short

R.A. Long extended their losing streak to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 4-6. They came up short against the Woodland Beavers, falling 13-3. The Lumberjacks were not able to make up for their loss to the Beavers from their previous meeting back in May of 2025.

Audrina Solano (2026) made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

As for Woodland, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-6. Considering they have won three matchups by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Woodland's side, Addi Christensen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Christensen was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jolie Oathes, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Lillia Andrews was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. R.A. Long is set to face off against their familiar foe Mark Morris at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Woodland will take on rival Hockinson at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
