Softball Recap: Pine Ridge Takes a Loss

The Pine Ridge Panthers came up short against the Orangewood Christian Rams on Monday, falling 19-4. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine Ridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addie Pettit, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. That stolen base was Pettit's first of the season. Another was Carla Rivera, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Orangewood Christian, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-4.

Looking ahead, Pine Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against Trinity Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 13.4 runs per game this season. As for Orangewood Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Windermere Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
