Oceanside is a perfect 10-0 against Vista since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Pirates are taking a road trip to face off against the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Oceanside will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Tuesday, Oceanside got the win against Canyon Crest Academy by a conclusive 11-5.

Anaiah Filo and Hannah Narcy did most of the damage at the plate: Filo went 3-for-5 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Narcy went 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Meliah Poumele-Flores, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Oceanside kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are 9-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, Vista didn't have quite enough to beat San Dieguito Academy on Tuesday and fell 8-7. The Panthers have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Oceanside, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Oceanside beat Vista 8-4 in their previous matchup back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
