Baseball Game Preview: Delavan-Darien Comets vs. Wilmot Panthers

The Delavan-Darien Comets will challenge the Wilmot Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

On Thursday, Delavan-Darien didn't have quite enough to beat Monroe and fell 3-1.

Delavan-Darien saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braedyn McKean, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Wilmot might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Waterford who claimed the real prize. The Panthers came up short against the Wolverines, falling 10-2.

Wilmot's defeat dropped their record down to 8-14. As for Delavan-Darien, they now have a losing record of 8-9-1.

Delavan-Darien beat Wilmot 6-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Comets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
