Basketball Game Preview: Wasatch Academy Tigers vs. Intermountain Christian Lions

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Wasatch Academy Tigers duke it out with the Intermountain Christian Lions at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday... The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wasatch Academy has struggled recently with four losses in a row, while Intermountain Christian will arrive with four straight victories.

Wasatch Academy is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Vanguard Academy on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Wasatch Academy had to suffer through a 52-15 loss at the hands of Vanguard Academy. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-5.

Meanwhile, Intermountain Christian strolled past Rockwell with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 52-33.

Intermountain Christian has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.4 points per game. As for Wasatch Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Wasatch Academy was taken down by Intermountain Christian 58-8 in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Wasatch Academy, Makenna Stoddard (who went 8 of 11 en route to 23 points and five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
