Recap: Columbia Independent vs. Bevier Wildcats
Columbia Independent's's game on Wednesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victor by a 41-16 margin over Bevier. The team accrued 30 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.
Blake Morris was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. The contest was his seventh in a row with at least ten points. Eric Dirksmeyer was another key contributor, scoring four points.
Columbia Independent has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 3-5 record this season. As for Bevier, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
Columbia Independent's road trip will continue as they head out to face Missouri Military Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Missouri Military Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Bevier, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Meadville at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Meadville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday.
