Football Recap: Orrick Comes Up Short

Orrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 65-18 loss at the hands of the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers. The Bearcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Orrick's loss came despite strong showings from Gage Tebbe and Levi Fielder. Tebbe rushed for 39 yards and two touchdowns, while Fielder picked up 113 receiving yards and one score. Fielder really caught the secondary sleeping when he pulled down a catch that went for 71 yards.

Orrick's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Wellington-Napoleon, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Orrick is set to take on their familiar foe Sweet Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Wellington-Napoleon will challenge rival Santa Fe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
