Northeastern is 7-2 against Tri since May of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Knights will challenge the Titans at 5:30 p.m. Northeastern is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.9 runs per game this season.

Northeastern is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Yorktown just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 15-1.

Meanwhile, Tri lost 9-3 to Monroe Central on Tuesday. The Titans have struggled against the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Tri saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braiden Jackson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Jackson has launched this season.

Tri's defeat dropped their record down to 0-11-1. As for Northeastern, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Wednesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Northeastern has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Tri struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 5 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Everything went Northeastern's way against Tri when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Northeastern made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
