Basketball Recap: Taylor Stange's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Chatfield over Legend

Chatfield lost against Legend back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Chatfield Chargers fell 62-54 to the Legend Titans.

Chatfield's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Taylor Stange, who posted 11 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Indiana Hostetler, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points.

Even though they lost, Chatfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Legend had a senior duo take command as Cameron Keach went 6 of 10 en route to 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals and Carson Flowers almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The matchup was Flowers' fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Meuli, who put up six points and three steals.

Chatfield now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Legend, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Chatfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 84-65 loss against Dakota Ridge on the 10th. As for Legend, they will host Doherty at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th.
