The Governor Livingston Highlanders will venture away from home to square off against the Johnson Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Governor Livingston is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games.

Governor Livingston proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by 26) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past South Plainfield 12-9.

Meanwhile, despite more penalty yards than offensive yards (59 to 12), Johnson somehow pulled a rabbit out of their hat on Friday. They walked away with a 14-7 victory over Metuchen. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Johnson's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Governor Livingston, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Governor Livingston took a serious blow against Johnson in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 41-13. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Highlanders were down 35-7.
