Tussey Mountain is 0-8 against Claysburg-Kimmel since May of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans will head out to square off against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Tussey Mountain is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Northern Bedford County hit Tussey Mountain with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Titans took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. Titans fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Panthers since on Thursday.

Joslyn Raley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and four unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 14 Ks. Those 14 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Adyson Weyandt and Alanna Reed stepped up to the plate in a big way. Weyandt went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run, while Reed went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Weyandt has been hot, having posted two or more stolen bases the last six times she's played. Brianna Gabrielson also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Claysburg-Kimmel put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let Curwensville get on the board and left with a 14-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by nine runs or more this season.
Isabella Paris made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. Paris was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on McKenna Black, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Jaylee Swindell was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Claysburg-Kimmel pushed their record up to 9-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Tussey Mountain, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Tussey Mountain might still be hurting after the 16-2 defeat they got from Claysburg-Kimmel in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Titans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
