Football Recap: Little Rock Christian Academy Takes Down Ranked Cabot

Little Rock Christian Academy faced Cabot in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 56-31 victory. The Warriors pushed the score to 49-17 by the end of the third, a deficit the Panthers cut but never quite recovered from.

Little Rock Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kemp Keller led the charge by throwing for 271 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.8 yards per attempt, and also punching in one rushing score. A healthy portion of Keller's aerial production (104 yards to be exact) went to Tristian Watson, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.

Little Rock Christian Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 206 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 206 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Little Rock Christian Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Connor Davis and Gabe Schroeder. Davis has been hot recently, having posted at least one interception the last three times he's played.

Little Rock Christian Academy's record is now 3-1. As for Cabot, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

As for Cabot, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-0 win against Little Rock Southwest on the 3rd.
