Baseball Game Preview: South Bulldogs vs. Marion-Franklin Red Devils

The South Bulldogs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Marion-Franklin Red Devils at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

South came up short against Eastmoor Academy on Tuesday, falling 11-1. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost five in a row.

South saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kellin Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Marion-Franklin took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They came out on top against Independence by a score of 6-2.

South took their victory against Marion-Franklin when the teams last played back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 24-12 score. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
