Recap: Montgomery Central Timberwolves vs. Oak Grove Grizzlies
The Montgomery Central Timberwolves lost against the Oak Grove Grizzlies back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Montgomery Central was outmatched by Oak Grove on the road and fell 49-7. While losing is never fun, Montgomery Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 264th, while Oak Grove is ranked 30th).
Karson Williams was his usual excellent self, rushing for 201 yards and five touchdowns on only eight carries. Landon Craddock made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Oak Grove, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-1.
Montgomery Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Oak Grove will head out on the road to face off against Central Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on October 27th. Central Davidson will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
