Baseball Recap: Tech Beats North Star Academy for Their Fifth Straight Victory

Tech had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over North Star Academy. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 back in April.

Tech's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for North Star Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Tech will venture away from home to square off against East Side at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for North Star Academy, they will square off against McNair Academic at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
