Basketball Recap: McLaughlin Comes Up Short

McLaughlin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by the Frostproof Bulldogs 82-21.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Frostproof to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mekhi Guillaume, who posted 14 points. Zavier Powell was another key player, putting up 13 points.

McLaughlin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Frostproof, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-7 record this season.

McLaughlin has already played their next game (against Pinecrest Lakes Prep), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Frostproof wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-50 win against Hardee on the 23rd.
