Basketball Recap: Orosi Starts Season with Loss at Home

Orosi unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 68-53 to the Strathmore Spartans. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Orosi's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ramiro Garcia, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Michael Corrales, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Looking ahead, Orosi will venture away from home to take on Mt. Whitney at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Strathmore, they will welcome Sierra Pacific at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
