Soccer Recap: Juneau-Douglas Falls Short Against Ranked West Valley

Juneau-Douglas faced West Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Crimson Bears fell just short of the Wolf Pack by a score of 3-2. Juneau-Douglas were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced West Valley earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Juneau-Douglas has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season. As for West Valley, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7-1.

Coming up, Juneau-Douglas will challenge Wasilla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. West Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
