Football Game Preview: Navarro Panthers vs. Lago Vista Vikings

The Navarro Panthers will square off against the Lago Vista Vikings at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Navarro is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Smithville on Friday as they made off with a 48-27 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won five in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lago Vista, who bounced back after a loss on the road on October 10th. They took their contest last Friday with ease, bagging a 46-7 win over Smithville. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-7.

Lago Vista's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Navarro, their win bumped their record up to 3-6.

Things could have been worse for Navarro, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 23-7 loss to Lago Vista when the teams last played back in November of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Vikings' Noah Arambula, who rushed for 135 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry.
