Softball Recap: Carlisle Wins Going Away Against Central Dauphin East

After only one run in their last matchup, Carlisle made sure to put some runs up on the board against Central Dauphin East on Monday. The Thundering Herd put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 11-1 victory. The Thundering Herd might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six runs or more this season.

Carlisle pushed their record up to 7-1-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Central Dauphin East, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carlisle will take on Bishop McDevitt at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central Dauphin East, they will face off against Gettysburg at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.73 runs per game on average), something the Panthers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
