Basketball Recap: Mound City Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mound City can now relate to. They fell just short of the Stanberry Bulldogs by a score of 50-47 on Monday. The Panthers' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Mound City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-21. As for Stanberry, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.

Mound City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stanberry, they will face off against Rock Port at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rock Port knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Stanberry likes a good challenge.
