Basketball Recap: Berwick Academy Piles Up the Points Against Landmark

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lexington Christian Academy, Berwick Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Landmark Vikings 69-34. The win continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won five in a row.

Berwick Academy was led to victory by Noah Daniel and Brandon Ventura. Daniel went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points along with eight boards and five assists, while Ventura dropped a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Daniel is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Kavery Daniel was another key player, putting up nine points and five steals.

Berwick Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Landmark, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Looking ahead, Berwick Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Mount St. Charles Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Landmark, they will be playing at home against Concord Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
