Northridge and Carroll are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Raiders will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Chargers at 2:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Northridge's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Carroll has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Northridge is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to East Noble for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-42 victory. With the Raiders ahead 46-15 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Lily Scholl continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists. Her big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Alli Ambers, who went 7-for-12 on her way to 17 points and three steals.
They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Northridge was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now racked up at least 21 assists in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Carroll had to suffer through a 77-29 loss at the hands of Homestead. The matchup marked the Chargers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Defeat or not, Carroll got some senior leadership from Lily George and Ava Myers. George dropped a double-double with ten points and 12 boards, while Myers posted 11 points. That was a full 34.5% of the Chargers' points, marking the eighth time in a row George has scored more than a third of the team's points.
Northridge's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Carroll, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Northridge has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Carroll struggles in that department as they've been averaging 24.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Everything came up roses for Northridge against Carroll in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 79-47 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Chargers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
