Baseball Game Preview: Stansbury Stallions vs. Hillcrest Huskies

For the second straight game, Stansbury will face off against Hillcrest. Stansbury will venture away from home to take on Hillcrest at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Stansbury got the win against Hillcrest by a conclusive 11-4. The victory continues a trend for the Stallions in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won eight in a row.

Karmine Gallegos spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up seven Ks. Those seven strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

At the plate, Stansbury let Jaxon Adams and Andrew Harris run wild. Adams scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Harris went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Adams a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nolan Furgal, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.

Stansbury always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hillcrest only posted an OBP of .276.

Hillcrest has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. Stansbury's win bumped their record up to 6-4.

Hillcrest's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Stansbury hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322.
