After flying high against Fife last Tuesday, Franklin Pierce came back down to earth. The Cardinals fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Franklin Pierce saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucas Larson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Franklin Pierce's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Fife, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.
