Basketball Recap: Faith Christian Skates Past Family Christian with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Faith Christian). They blew past the Family Christian Warriors 52-25 on Tuesday. The Saints have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Faith Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ellieana Milford, who posted eight points in addition to eight rebounds and eight steals. Milford is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alexa Tomlison, who put up five points in addition to 23 boards and seven assists.

Faith Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

The victory (which was Faith Christian's sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.0 points per game. As for Family Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Faith Christian will welcome Community Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Family Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Founders Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. Family Christian is facing Founders Classical Academy at the right time seeing as Founders Classical Academy is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
