Baseball Recap: North Lakes Academy Takes a Loss

North Lakes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Spectrum Sting. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Huskies' highest-scoring match to date.

North Lakes Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Spectrum, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Coming up, North Lakes Academy will face off against Eagle Ridge Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. North Lakes Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: Eagle Ridge Academy has averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season. As for Spectrum, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-0 defeat against Legacy Christian Academy on the 10th.
