The American Fork Cavemen are taking a road trip to face off against the Hunter Wolverines at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. American Fork is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
On Thursday, American Fork didn't have quite enough to beat Lone Peak and fell 5-4.

Sarah Jensen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Nataanii Fielding, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Meanwhile, Hunter came up short against Green Canyon on Tuesday and fell 12-8. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
KENYA LAPUAHO put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. What's more, she gave up only zero walks, the fewest she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, ALEXA OLSEN made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. LOIANA IONGI was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs.
American Fork's record now sits at 8-15. As for Hunter, their record is now 8-13.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. American Fork hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .333. However, it's not like Hunter struggles in that department as they've averaged .365. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
