There's no place like home for Savannah, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Maryville Spoofhounds 3-0 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Savages in their matchups with the Spoofhounds: they've now won six in a row.

While Savannah might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Maryville scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18, 26-24.

Savannah's offense was headlined by Mylee Schrick and Aryana Spry, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Reece Gould and her 27 assists. Meara Delaney controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Maryville still got an impressive performance from Evelyn Branner, who had 13 digs. Ryan Tobin also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Savannah's victory bumped their record up to 13-4. As for Maryville, with the defeat, they broke their five-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-7.

Savannah has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Notre Dame de Sion on the 3rd. As for Maryville, they will square off against Benton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
