Baseball Game Preview: Highlands Bluebirds vs. Scott Eagles

For the second straight game, Highlands will face off against Scott. The Bluebirds will face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Highlands 3.3, Scott 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Scott will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Highlands extended their winning streak to five on Tuesday. The Bluebirds came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 7-4.

Brooks Hendrix was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Julian Hankins also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Highlands' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-5-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Scott, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 10-7 record.
