Softball Recap: St. Patrick's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three contests, St. Patrick finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Pass Christian Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Fighting Irish have suffered since March 23, 2024.

St. Patrick saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Addysen Peyret, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Peyret launched this season.

St. Patrick's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-7. As for Pass Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Patrick will welcome Ocean Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pass Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greene County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pass Christian's pitchers better be ready for this one: Greene County has averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
