Baseball Recap: Marshwood Hawks vs. Falmouth Navigators
Marshwood extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-3. They came up short against the Falmouth Navigators, falling 10-0. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Navigators apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.
Marshwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Gennaro, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.
Falmouth's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.
On Falmouth's side, Cooper Bucci made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Bucci was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs.
In other batting news, Falmouth let Jacoby Porter and Mason Pechinski run wild.
