Soccer Game Preview: Orland vs. West Valley

The Orland Trojans will challenge the West Valley Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Orland is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They never let Anderson get on the board and left with a 5-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won eight in a row.

Orland hit Anderson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Nelani Bose (2), Ella McDermott (2), and Bethzaida Salinas.

Meanwhile, West Valley hasn't lost a match since January 16th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Everything went their way against Pierce as West Valley made off with a 4-0 win. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by exactly four goals.

Orland pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up three goals over those ten games. As for West Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Orland came out on top in a nail-biter against West Valley in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 2-1. Will Orland repeat their success, or does West Valley have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
