Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Fort Stockton

Fort Stockton entered their tilt with Crane on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Cranes with a sharp 35-13 win. That's more bragging rights for the Panthers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Fort Stockton had a senior duo take command as Gerry Diaz rushed for 97 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 carries and Nick Almendarez rushed for 184 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.4 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Almendarez is now averaging an impressive 102 rushing yards per game.

Fort Stockton was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Fort Stockton's defense and their four sacks. In that department, Angel Mendoza was the leader with three.

The Panthers will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for Crane, they will square off against Compass Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cranes' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
