The Lapel Bulldogs will take on the Sheridan Blackhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lapel is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.6 points per game this season.
Lapel picked up another tournament win on Thursday. They snuck past Anderson with a 53-48 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Indians are ranked 283rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Laniah Wills, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and 15 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 12 or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophie Goodwin, who went 5 of 8 on her way to 15 points.
Meanwhile, Sheridan waltzed into their matchup on Friday with 11 straight wins... but they left with 12. They blew past the Trojans 63-33. The Blackhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 games by 20 points or more this season.
Sheridan's win came from a few key players Lapel will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Kenzie Garner, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cecilia Timme, who went 9 of 16 on her way to 18 points and six steals.
Sheridan pushed their record up to 14-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.3 points per game. As for Lapel, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Lapel has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 26.8 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Sheridan struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.2 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Lapel took their victory against Sheridan in their previous matchup back in December of 2019 by a conclusive 65-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lapel since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
