After a string of seven wins, Seventy-First's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to the Lumberton Pirates 57-52. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Lumberton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaiden Shephard, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 boards. The game was Shephard's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christopher Hammonds, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Seventy-First's defeat ended a 21-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. As for Lumberton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.

Seventy-First is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 66.2 points per game this season.
