Softball Recap: North Myrtle Beach Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact North Myrtle Beach can now relate to. They fell just short of the Berkeley Stags by a score of 2-0 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Chiefs have suffered since April 4th.

Sierra Bendik was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, North Myrtle Beach saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Carney, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

North Myrtle Beach's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Berkeley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 26-3.

As of now, neither North Myrtle Beach nor the Stags have any future games scheduled.
